Strategic Data for Decision-Making in Long-Term Care
- The research report summarizes the results of a two-year systematic exploration process on the topic of "control data in long-term care." Based on the current national and international dis- course, various research methods were used to identify the concerns of stakeholders in long- term care regarding the collection and use of control data. A key result of the empirical phases is the survey instrument "Questionnaire for the collection of quantitative and qualitative control data in residential and outpatient long-term care in Baden-Württemberg (QUASTA-LP-BW)" (Els- bernd, A., Hahn, L., and Kielmeyer, L. S., 2024, Appendix 3), which can be used in the future to collect routine data from outpatient and (semi-)residential long-term care. It was developed to gain important insights into the current conditions and challenges in care facilities and thus sup- ports the planning and further development of long-term care on various levels. The instrument consists of routine data and a predominantly qualitative staff survey on the situation in long-term care facilities. Furthermore, the research report contains numerous recommendations, particu- larly regarding the consolidation and provision of already collected data in long-term care.
